Delta Financial Management
Alan Buet– After working for the Natwest Bank, Alan joined Ivan Sopher & Co in January 1985 as a tax manager. Alan was appointed Managing Director of Delta in 1988. Over the years he has seen many changes in the industry and within Delta but his original ethos of teamwork and empowerment are still key themes today. As a qualified tax accountant and financial adviser, Alan has ensured that we provide complementary financial advice to run alongside the advice given to our clients by their Accountant. Away from the office Alan is a keen Badminton player and a long suffering Tottenham Hotspur fan.
Amin Malik – joined Delta in 1992 after completing a degree in Economics & Accounting at Bristol University. Amin has gained a reputation as one of the top pension technicians and his ability to provide simple solutions to complex problems has won him many fans with both clients and other financial advisers who have sought our help. In addition to the main qualifications as a financial adviser Amin also holds the Advanced Financial Planning Certificate which covers areas such as Taxation and Trusts (G10), Personal Investment Planning (G20), Business Financial Planning (G30) and Pensions (G60). During his free time Amin can be seen on the dance floor as a Salsa instructor and also is a keen Badminton player.
Jarrod Ellis – joined Delta in 2001 although he has worked with the firm since the early 1990’s. Jarrod held various sales and management roles within General Accident and Norwich Union between 1988 and 2001 and provided support to Delta during his time there. Jarrod’s background in sales and marketing has been invaluable in helping us produce clear and easily understandable reports and advice to our clients. In addition to the standard financial planning qualifications Jarrod also holds the G60 Pensions Qualification and has a keen interest in Investment Markets and Portfolio Planning. In his spare time Jarrod enjoys spending time with his young family, playing football and golf.
Emma Cruickshanks – joined Delta in 2001 after completing her degree in Business Studies at Newcastle University. Emma holds the standard adviser qualifications along with the CeMAP mortgage qualification and also has an in depth knowledge of the Private Medical Insurance market and Business Protection market. The financial services industry is a very male dominated environment and we are keen to offer advice from a balanced perspective on all matters. Emma’s hobbies include travelling, reading and looking after her cat Pedro.
Richard Bennett– joined Delta in 2001. Before joining Delta he worked for Swiss Re and Canada Life. Richard holds the Financial Planning Certificate and has been the driving force in providing a modern back office administration service for the advisers and clients of the firm. His highly qualified team provide the link between our clients and the various insurers and investment managers who provide information to us of both a varying quality and over varying timescales. Richard has implemented systems which mean that for many policies we can now produce online valuations and we run a paperless office to minimise our impact on the environment. Richard’s time away from the office is spent with his family and he enjoys cycling and playing squash.
