Stephen Iseman |
|
Stephen qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1981 with Touche Ross, where he subsequently progressed to the role of Assistant Manager. Having gained extensive experience in auditing and dealing with the affairs of large corporates, Stephen decided that his knowledge and skills could be put to better use in working with owner managed businesses.
Stephen joined Ivan Sopher & Co. in 1983, progressing to his current role developing extensive expertise in audit and corporate finance together with a broad taxation knowledge from his handling of a diverse and extensive portfolio of clients. Working together with our audit team and taxation department, Stephen's hands-on involvement with his clients enables him to establish a very clear understanding of their business and financial requirements. |
Martyn Atkinson |

Martyn qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 with a top twenty accountancy practice. He joined Ivan Sopher & Co in April 1999 and now looks after a significant portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed businesses.
He is also involved in managing the audit and accounts department together with the general running of the practice. He prides himself in providing an efficient and effective service to all clients responding to their requirements in a timely manner. Martyn specialises in dealing with the entertainment and media sector and Financial Services Authority regulated businesses as well as having considerable experience in auditing, accounting, taxation, business management and corporate finance. |
Hazel Young |

Hazel is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years experience in the profession. On graduating from University, she joined a top 100 firm of Chartered Accountants based in London to complete her training. After successfully gaining her qualification she gained wide experience working in both their tax and audit departments.
In 1990 she joined Ivan Sopher & Co. as an Audit Manager and now heads up the Small Business Department. This department provides a range of services including book-keeping, preparation of VAT returns, accounts preparation, company audit and specialist audits, such as solicitors, and deals with a wide variety of clients from sole traders to multinational companies. |
Sean Brennan |

Started his career in 1990 at a 3 partner practice in Harrow, Middlesex. He qualified in 1995 and along the qualification route was a prize winner in his taxation exams. The firm specialised in small owner managed businesses and adopted a hands-on approach to all of its clients and each partner dealt with all aspects of their client portfolio. He was made a partner in 1999. Sean joined Ivan Sopher & Co in December 2002.
He has quickly built up a strong and diverse client portfolio including many successful owner-managed businesses and Financial Services Authority registered businesses. Sean's broad depth of knowledge and experience in many areas such as accounting, taxation, business management and most software products enables him to give a very personal and efficient service which is tailored to suit the client's exact needs. |
Kirti Bathia |

Kirti started her career at a ten partner practice in the West End. She was admitted to the ICAEW in March 1985 whilst at Moore Stephens. She joined Ivan Sopher & Co. in 1992.
Kirti has a broad depth of knowledge and experience in many areas of owner managed businesses. Her hands on approach in varied areas of accounting, business management and software products enables her to identify strengths and weaknesses of the accounting function and make recommendations. Kirti manages a diverse base of clients including restaurants, media clients, high profile individuals in the entertainment industry and a range of many successful owner managed businesses. |
Robert Goodwin |
|
Robert qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1966 whereupon he joined Arthur Andersen & Co. spending three years in their London office and three years as a manager in their Toronto and Winnipeg offices. On returning to the UK in 1972 he became a partner in the West End practice of Casson Beckman. In 1984 he joined a client of that practice as deputy managing director of an injection moulding company specialising in disposals for the catering industry.
On returning to professional life in 1988, he subsequently formed his own accountancy practice in Chippenham, Wiltshire, combining this with a consultancy role for Ivan Sopher & Co.
For Ivan Sopher & Co. his role includes practice administration including technical development of the firm's personnel, quality control and H.R. He also specialises in one-off client assignments such as corporate finance matters.

Amelia Lai |
|
Amelia has been with Ivan Sopher & Co since May 1998. She is experienced in dealing with audit and accountancy matters in relation to a diverse range of private companies, which include industries such as property, media, construction and manufacturing. Amelia has also specialised in the preparation of accounts for pension schemes and Solicitors, which includes Solicitors Accounts Rules compliance audits. |
